Introduction of ELCA Women's Bible Study
August 23, 2008 - First Lutheran Church - Poulsbo

Starting in September, Lutheran Women Today begins the nine-month study, "The Hidden Hand of God: Wisdom Stories from Ruth, Daniel, and Esther". This study is written by the Rev. Gwen Sayler and the Rev. Ann Fritschel.

We are delighted to co-sponsor an event that will bring the author(s) to our area. We are delighted that Southwestern Washington Synodical Women started this tradition and it is spreading throughout the rest of the Regions in the ELCA.

This year we will meet in the lovely town of Poulsbo at First Lutheran Church http://www.poulsbofirstlutheran.org/. The cost is $15.00 per person. Make the check payable to SWWA SWO and send it with your registration to Carol Fossum, Bible Study Event Registrar, 12716 -64th Ave E, Puyallup, WA 98373. Women of the ELCA Celebrate 20 Years

The women's organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2007-2008. For 20 years, this community of women has committed itself to "grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world."
