Deacon Dianne Johnson has served on the ELCA Word and Service Roster since 2004. She became the Director for Evangelical Mission of the Northwest Washington Synod in 2018.
She finds joy in connecting with congregations throughout the synod. Whether the conversations are with the Mission Start ministries or congregations with long histories, it is exciting to hear what God is up to in their midst.
She is a graduate of the Lutheran Bible Institute and Seattle Pacific University. Her first call was at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Renton as the Outreach and Discipleship Minister. Dianne was introduced to many people in the synod as she served on Synod Council, was part of the Global Mission Committee, and led the Synod Malaria Campaign.
Dianne has lived in the greater Seattle area throughout her life. She enjoys walking their dogs, travel, hiking, gardening and reading.
