Ministry Resources
  • NWWA Synod Fund for Theological Debt

  • There are many grants offered through the ELCA at www.elca.org/grants.  There are many categories of grants to support individuals, congregations, and synods.  Please note, you will need to work with the Synod’s Director for Evangelical Mission (DEM), Pastor Judy Brennan dem@lutheransnw.org  to apply for many of these grants.  Some grants need Synod approval as well as Churchwide approval.  If you have questions or ideas, please reach out to Judy and she would be happy to work with you

Racial Equity and Reparations Fund
  • This fund is one step towards fostering solidarity between Synod colleagues, redressing financial disparities and making reparation for decades of systemic racism within the ELCA.
  • BIPOC rostered leaders and mission developers in our Synod are encouraged to sign up to be fund recipients by emailing nwwasynodreparations@gmail.com.

Gloria Dei Fund

Seed money provided following the closure of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Bellevue.

  • to support sabbaticals for rostered leaders
  • to provide seed money for the development of new congregational ministries in the areas
    of evangelism, parish outreach & education and social ministries of the Synod/ELCA
