TWO dates/locations to choose from:

  • May 13 at Salem Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon (8:30am-3:30pm)
  • May 20 at Saint Andrew's Lutheran Church in Bellevue (8:30am-3:30pm)

DETAILS

  • Every three years, our synod hosts synod-wide gatherings in lieu of a regular synod assembly
  • We will gather for worship, lunch, and forums for learning, conversation, and collaboration
  • There are two Saturdays to choose from: May 13 in Mount Vernon OR May 20 in Bellevue
  • Each participant will choose three forums to attend from 22 available options - read about our forum topics and presenters HERE
  • During the lunch hour there will be additional opportunities to gather with various synod partners and committees
  • While we are not meeting for an assembly, please find the ministry partner reports that were shared with us in the download section below

PAYMENT:

  • You may pay online HERE - Select "Gathering REGISTRATION" from the dropdown
  • You may mail in a check made out to "NWWA Synod" with "Gathering" in memo line to: ELCA Region 1; PO Box 94432; Seattle, WA  98124-6732 

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Travel hot beverage mug with lid and/or water bottle - we will have coffee, tea, cocoa, water, (and sparking water/soda) available during our sessions - help us save on disposable cups! Please note: no liquids in the sanctuary!
  • Comforatble clothing - think layers; if you are registered to attend the Wild Church forum, dress for the outdoor weather!
  • Note pad/writing tool or an electronic tablet for taking notes if desired (make sure your electronic devices are fully charged!
  • Offering for opening worship

Gathering Worships will be shared as follows:

  • 1/3 to Lutheran World Relief - Earthquake Response
  • 1/3 to Lutheran Community Services - Refugee & Immigrant Services
  • 1/3 to Bishop's Caring Fund - supports Rostered Ministers with financial help

  • 11:15-11:30 Break/Transition Time

  • 12:30-1:30 Lunch
  • 1:30 -1:45 Break/Transition Time
  • 1:45-2:45 Forum 3
  • 2:45-3:00 Break/Transition Time
  • 3:00-3:30 Re-gathering & Closing
